Dropping Him, Finding Me
By Mathew Edvik & Summer Morris
Lauren is not happy. She is in constant drama with her parents, hates school, and doesn't even have a boyfriend. When her best friend Lucy hooks up with Stephen, Lucy felt a glimmer of hope that Devin may like her. For her, having a boyfriend would solve a lot of her problems. But once summer break begins, Lucy gets on an emotional roller coaster ride and finally learns, through the help of a new friend, how to find happiness and self worth from within.
The story was written to walk readers through the transition from low self-esteem and sadness to a positive self-image. A healthy self-esteem rests on four pillars: paradigm, choices, personal accomplishments, and relationships. If these four pillars work well, you will find yourself enjoying life much more. Chances are, you will become more attractive to the type of people that you want to have in your life.
